KARATE KIDS OVERVIEW | AGES 7 - 12
The foundation of the Karate for Kids curriculum is the education and development of life-skills such as positive mental attitude, high goal setting, perseverance, self-control and confidence. Karate for Kids training is designed to be fun and fulfilling for each student. This is because Taekwondo is an individual activity rather than a team sport. Therefore every student is an active and valuable participant in class. They work out with kids their own age and progress at their own pace. The ATA Karate for Kids program is perfect for parents looking for an activity that is not just great exercise but that also teaches their school age children lessons they will use throughout their life. The way children learn and what motivates them is the reason we offer a program exclusively for children.
TIGERS OVERVIEW | AGES 4 - 7
The ATA Tiger curriculum program was developed specifically for preschool age children ages 4 through 6. This program offers children a strong foundation in essential character qualities such as courtesy, respect, and discipline. In addition, it is designed to improve children's motor skills and enhance their ability to pay attention and follow directions.
This curriculum should provide students with the most fun and exciting training methods available for this age group. This program works in conjunction with other programs, thereby emphasizing the same important monthly themes and value system. Upon graduation, ATA Tigers graduate into the Karate Kids program with ease as the material is consistent.
6 REAL BENEFITS OF KARATE KIDS CLASS
Most forms of martial arts are based around an accomplishment system of colored belts that signify the wearer’s degree of skill. When your child strives toward each new belt, he’s learning valuable lessons about setting and reaching his goals.
Learning any Songahm Taekwondo will require your child to show her instructor unflinching respect. Today’s kid culture doesn’t always include respect for authority, adults or those in advanced positions. When she goes to her Songahm Taekwondo class, though, your child will be learning lessons in respect along with new moves.
Thinking that martial arts instruction promotes violent behavior is justified if your only experience with the activity comes from television or movies. In fact, many defensive styles teach kids peaceful, non-violent conflict resolution skills and emphasize the importance of avoiding a phsyical altercation.
